INERTIA DEVICES

Inertia devices are initiating or firing devices for IEDs that employ a temporarily fixed conductive metal object—a moveable bridging contact that can slide forward to close a circuit, for example, upon braking of a vehicle –or impact with a solid object.

Securesearch manufactures several types of inertia switches, including some in metal housings and others in clear plastic housings. We also sell commercially-made inertia switches.

We incorporate them into several inert but functional IED training models. The switches can be purchased separately, or as initiating systems built into our complete IED training aids.
