Securesearch, Inc. has developed a low cost military mine training aid, for E.O.R./E.O.D. exercises.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
• PVC plastic pipe with end plugs.
• Super-sensitive, dual-loop trembler switch. Sensitivity easily adjustable; no tools (TYPE 1 OXA)
• Instructor’s arming switch
• 30-45 second delay arming printed circuit board. Allows mine to be placed after arming
• 9 volt battery, universally available
• Loud PIEZO whistle. An optional 102 decibel yelping whistle is also available, (TYPE 2 OXA with single trembler spring.)
• Operates in any orientation, upright, upside down or on its side
• Functional in extremely cold weather, (-30ºC) with alkaline battery
• Can be re-used by the instructor if it is not disrupted or destroyed by countercharge
• Requires no tools to open it or to arm it
• Painted army olive drab. Other colors on special order
• Lightweight, approximately 450 grams (1 pound)
• Sound is startling to the student, audible to instructor 50 meters away
• Unit cost is low, and volume discounts are available
• Also available is a cardboard mine body-- biodegradable, after disruption or countercharging
• Can be buried underground and be detectable by a metal detector
• Size is approximately 4 inches in diameter, X 7 inches high (100 MM x 170 MM)

This training mine was developed to meet the need for a simulated military mine that would be sensitive to slight mishandling, simple to operate, re-useable, yet be a low cost product, that could be turned out on production machinery in volume.

No such training aid has been on the market until now, while the demand for it has been constant. A great deal of research went into designing a reliable mine training aid.
