Platter Charge / Flying Plate/ EXPLOSIVE FORMED PROJECTILE (EFP). Concave heavy steel disk, stretched by the force of the blast into a long, narrow high-velocity projectile that is propelled at high speed by plastic explosive or cast TNT charge. A “Directional Munition”. Armed remotely or by timer, and can be initiated by cell phone signal, command wire, or PIR sensor as convoy or personnel pass by. May be concealed within a camouflage material such as irregular Styrofoam block, to look like a roadside boulder.
