Among the first products we made for use in our own training courses 40 years ago--and later for general sale-- were groups of initiating switches, IED components and simulated high explosive charges mounted on display boards. Originally every letter was hand applied as a title and caption for each board and item mounted on it. Now we use modern computer label-making technology. Over the years we have expanded for the original 5 boards that we used in our own courses, to more than 60.
Many of the display boards have actual items mounted on, and some have a combination of actual items, as available and replica cast items made by our company. Some boards have a combination of items and cutaway images mounted beside them to show internal layout. This helps the instructor to describe how they work, hazards involved, and possible countermeasures. Some of the cutaway items mounted on certain display boards are enlarged versions constructed by our company, so they can be readily viewed in larger classrooms.
As all of our display boards are custom made to order, we replace some items with others, if that is your preference. We can also custom make display boards of items that we do not currently offer. Our listed range of display boards includes functional and non-functional items; many also show inert products that simulate detonators, detonating cord, safety fuse, boosters and primers, ammunition, dynamite, home made explosives, home made arson materials, and military demolition explosives.
