Handling Charges

As our products require an unusual level of documentary accountability and secure packaging for shipment, a handling charge is applied to all orders. This should be taken into account when you are preparing to place your order with us. The charges are:

12% of the value of the goods, on orders valued up to $5,000

10% of the value of the goods, on orders valued between $5,001 and $15,000

9% of the value of the goods, on orders valued between $15,001 and $50,000

7% of the value of the goods, on orders valued above $50,000

Shipping Charges And Customs Charges

Shipping charges are extra, and will be quoted as an estimate at the time you wish to place your order. If actual charges as billed to us by the carrier are higher, then we will invoice you for the additional charges. If the charges are lower than those we quote on our estimate, and on our invoice, then you will be refunded any difference.

As in most instances our goods are crossing international borders, they must be customs-cleared by the customs agency having jurisdiction. Documentation is usually handled by a customs brokerage firm in your country, to speed release of the goods. There are charges associated with this, and all such charges will be invoiced to the purchaser. If the purchaser prefers, we may indicate that such charges are to be "collect" and you will be billed directly by the customs broker. This should be clearly indicated on your purchase order, otherwise we will bill for anticipated charges on our invoice.

Goods are always shipped insured to full value, from origin to destination address. Insurance charges will be added to your invoice, unless you indicate on your purchase order that you will self-insure the goods, or that the goods are "insurance collect". Where we use a freight forwarder, we must indicate this prior to them picking up the goods at our plant. Please ensure that your purchase order has a provision for insurance.
