Prices, Credit, Customs and Shipping Charges

1. Prices shown are retail, direct-sale prices in U.S. dollars. When sold to customers in Canada, please convert at current rate to Canadian dollars.

2. Prices shown are retail, direct-sale prices In U.S. dollars when sold to customers in the U.S.A. and all other countries outside of North America. U.S. and other non-Canadian customers will pay in U.S. dollars, unconverted. Payment by government cheque, company cheque, bank draft or postal money order are all acceptable. We also accept payment by direct bank transfer of funds into our U.S. dollar account, or by letter of credit arranged between our bank and yours. In all cases, whatever method of payment is chosen, all bank charges, such as transfer charges and collection charges, are to be borne by the customer and/or the customer's bank. Please advise your bank of this.

3. If you so request, we can issue a proforma invoice to you, which is an invoice prior to shipment, in order that you have documentary proof of charges which we want you to prepay. Prepayment is required.

4. Unless prior credit is established with us, we require prepayment, that is, payment in full must accompany your order or be arranged through bank transfer. With government agencies, we normally ship on the basis of a purchase order being issued and we give 30-day payment terms, with 1 1/2 % per month credit charges on overdue accounts.

5. As all our products are custom-made, and large orders often require unusually long manufacturing times to complete (perhaps as long as 12-36 months) we prefer to arrange in advance that goods will be shipped in groups of 10-15 items as we complete them. This provides you with some training aids in a relatively short time, so you can start teaching with them. We expect payment on each of these small shipments, so an invoice will accompany each such partial shipment. It will include the cost of the goods, shipping charges, handling charges (valued using the formula for the total value of your complete order), customs duty, where applicable, taxes (where we are authorized to collect them on behalf of government), and customs clearance brokerage charges. If we have to ship a number of smaller shipments over time, the total shipping charges and customs brokerage charges will be higher. This is because the shipping company charges us for shipment, and they usually have a minimum charge. The brokerage company who clears your order through customs also has a minimum charge per transaction, so if we send you five shipments to complete your order, they will charge us five transaction charges. It is a fact of international business, and customs clearance is required when goods are imported into any country. If you have your own customs broker, perhaps we can arrange to have the goods shipped "in bond" so they can be customs cleared locally by your broker. This is not always possible, depending on the shipping company. For shipments into the U.S.A., we try to use United Parcel Service as their rates are lowest, service is good, and they use a regular port of entry into the U.S.A. with a customs broker who is familiar with our goods. The port of entry is Buffalo, New York. The customs officers and supervisors are also familiar with our goods, and given the nature of our products, this makes customs clearance a speedy process.

6. Prices on the list accompanying this catalog are valid for one year; orders placed with us in the current calendar year but partially or wholly shipped in the following calendar year are billed at the price quoted in the current year.

7. Our agents and distributors are independent business persons and are free to set their own prices when marketing our products. They use our catalog prices as a guide, but must add on their costs involved in promoting, importing and handling our products. Where we have a sales representative in your territory, all orders are to be placed through them. However, if you are unsure about a particular product or its description in this catalog, feel free to call or fax us for clarification. Our sales representatives do not stock our product, and may not be familiar with the workings of every item. We will be happy to help.
