Soviet Cast and Pressed TNT Demolition Blocks

These are primarily used in anti-personnel mines, but may also be used for demolition purposes as single blocks or in groups taped together.

Soviet and Russian TNT demolition blocks typically have plain tan paper or colored and waxed paper labels labeled in Cyrillic font text. The Russian word for TNT in transliteration is “TRITOLOVA” also, called “TROTYL”.

The location of the detonator well on one end or on top, is marked with a small (6mm diameter) purple dot.
